KLAPMUTS HOTEL

Klapmuts Hotel is situated in Klapmuts, between Stellenbosch and Paarl in the Cape Winelands.

The Klapmuts area was discovered in 1657 by a Dutch expedition and was named after the mountain that resembled a sailor’s hat worn in those days.

Klapmuts Hotel itself dates back to the 1800’s and is the second oldest hotel in the Western Cape. The Hotel is owned and operated by Antoine Dunne and his daughter Antoinette Dunne. The Hotel is situated on the Cape Wine route and is surrounded by 5 amazing golf courses within a 40 km radius.

Weddings, Parties, Special Events

Klapmuts Hotel offers a small venue (up to 70 people inside) for weddings, birthdays, end of year parties or any special event. Our wood fired pizza oven makes the best pizzas and we have braai facilities available for your special function.

We also offer accommodation with 4 beautifully furnished air- conditioned rooms. We have our main bar with the original wood bar counter from the 1900’s, where you can enjoy being served by Uncle Duggie (as he is affectionately known by the locals). He has worked at the Klapmuts hotel for over 50 years. On site is an entertainment area with a pool table, big screen TV etc. Conference facilities will be available shortly.
